You must start a single-player game from the main menu by opening the console and typing “map [map name]” without quotes. This is the only way to use cheats and enable sv_cheats.
when I type in sv_cheats 1, it says cannot change to 1 because. why?

Valve disabled the use of cheats online. There are hacks that can be used online, but those get you banned pretty quick.

@CheatMastersdotcom not right. you have to make your own lobbby but you have to find the settings where it says :”Best Available Dedicated”. Change that to “Local host” then start the game. That will enable you to use sv_cheats. You’re welcome.
